Uniontown Fire Station -

Oakwood Addition

Uniontown, Ohio

Four Points Architectural was contracted for design work to accommodate the expanding needs of the Oakwood Station of the Uniontown Fire Department.Through programming analysis, site investigation, and schematic designs, it was determined that multiple additions and modifications to the existing facility would be possible and were necessary for the future needs. The existing facility is 6,300 s.f., including a 6 bay truck garage.

The additions to the facility include an addition of 2 truck bays, accomodating 4 trucks to the existing garage, a 3-story hose training tower, and new living quarters. A portion of the garage area was renovated to include more space for the gear lockers, a shower for returning from field work, and additional storage space for the E.M.S. The new living quarters include a new kitchen and living space, sleep space for six, restrooms with showers, gym / workout space, and laundry facilities. A new entry to the building was designed to give more prominence to the facility for visitors.
